Sooner or later the day or idea you fantasize about will come, but it will appear when you least expect it, when you are least prepared and perhaps when you feel the least suited for it. You will wish you had more time to plan it out, to watch it unfold, to hold your breath, enough time to bask in the sunny red warmth against your closed eyelids. You might think to yourself about how you wish you had a better haircut at this point in your life or more rolls of film in your pockets or that your steps were a little lighter. But it won’t come to you in the way you think it could have been, it will come to you the way that it is. And you might not have all the words you dreamt of saying and you still might not be standing up as straight as you’d like (no matter the amount of times you remind yourself of your posture) but it’s okay. You will still see the sun hit the sky just the way it is meant to and you will still get to where you want to go even if some fragments of your life fall a little behind. And it will feel the way it is meant to, the way you have always wanted it to, if you would just let it. Let it take you.
